The Hair issue!!

I've always asked too many questions I think and luckily enough I've been blessed with satisfactory answers. May have taken time but I've got them nevertheless..

The first question I had asked my Singh before our marriage was about facial hair!! I just never thought I could be accepted with them by any 'reasonably sane' guy. I still feel that was the most inconsequential and silly question I had asked yet that too was patiently answered. I know these things now but a year back I saw things differently. So what has changed over this year? Have I stopped socialising, gone underground or have been brain washed?

The answer is.. My perspective has changed.

It's been a long battle, still is sometimes in the oddest situations and I've read so many blogs that would tell you the exact same thing. This is not Gender specific as well, the Singhs are struggling with their swaroop as well. Supposedly 'well groomed' guys either trim or gel their beards. The girls should have 'even' and flowing hair but definitely no facial or body hair.

When I talk about perception it just does not mean when you go out in society, how people react. These issues and insecurities are fed into every human brain through such subtle ways that we don't realise it. Every advertisement kids/adults watch on TV or magazine have this clause that you HAVE to HAVE this product to look beautiful, to feel confident or to attract the attention of opposite sex. One of the cosmetic surgery group advises us 'to visit their clinic to change your life for the better'.

They don't give you a choice, they tell you that this is the right way and further enforce it upon you with visual tools. Abnormally thin girls with shreds of cloths they call 'designer wear' will be shown with guys ogling them and the advertisement would state that she is 'gorgeous'. Vice versa for boys is true as well. Trust me I've been there and copied them to be accepted by peers and society.

I'm not against fashion but again for me fashion is creativity not vulgarity, two things which have been grossly misconstrued in Society today. I've seen beautiful and elegant girls/ladies and not necessarily from a Sikh background. Why do you think so many photographers win accolades on their pics where they capture village girls doing their daily chores. Infact I remember cover page of a famous magazine showing the face and eyes of an Afghani girl which enraptured so many, she had no make up at all!!

Its not an easy path and will never be but is it worth going through the pains of plucking out your hair so that others accept you? We think that shaving/threading is to maintain hygiene, on the contrary skin allergies and reactions that you get from plucking your hair out speak otherwise.
Many tribes cut hair to express loss of someone close or to mark someone as an outlaw. Those who think they do it for 'themselves' please have the courage to accept in all honesty that you are conscious of how you look because you don't want to be perceived ugly in the society.

We have bartered our Elegance, grace, finesse and uniqueness for vulgarity, artificial looks, cheap thrills and commonness. Hope we realise that and atleast start the journey to gain confidence in ourselves, the way we were made by THE CREATOR and not by the way the society made us.

Untitled

I have no title for this post because this is just one of those days when I just want to write what is in my heart irrespective of what you think.

Can I have a split personality? Can I be a double faced person who goes to a great length to keep everyone happy? Yup, I think I can do that. I can actually let go of the real me and be what you want me to be. or let me correct myself, I used to be that person who went to great pains and often lot of fights with my own conscience to be accepted by my peers. I was smiling but not happy from inside. I think my blogs reflected that very well.

Well, it could be argued that I am still the same and changing for the person I think is Mr Right. For once I have an answer for all those putting up this question to me and that is: "I don't need to answer to anyone of you." If I was thinking then I would have backed out long time back because I know for sure that it's not at all easy to walk on the path I am walking. It's not easy to let go of my inhibitions, face opposition and sarcasm and disbelief and still have the conviction to travel the right path. It's not east to talk about Waheguru in 2 months when you have kept these feelings hidden in your heart for 23 years.

It is also not easy to let go of your ego and learn as a kid, not easy to love someone and somehow him not believing you either. It's not that it is easy for the others as well. It is hard for others also to accept me and my talks about my true feelings. It is natural to feel I'm not the same. I don't blame anyone for the distrust or the raised eyebrows or the shock and surprise. I'm sure if I am blessed enough to follow my Guru, others will accept me eventually. Sometimes although I do tend to feel bad that a proof needs to be given to show my commitment but then I think its the only way I can move on.

All I think I am trying to tell is that I have a lot of things that I am going through and I wish people would just wait and let me be ready to take the plunge. Too many questions and too many doubts will not cloud my conviction and take me away from my Guru now, but it will sure take me aloof from you. If all of you love me then support me for taking this step and encourage me and if you can't then step back or you gonna loose me. I just can't handle the pressure and the questions and the disbeliefs and the learning and my ego and correcting it and being a kid and listening to smeone making soo much sense and realising the fact that I'm wortheless as of now. I can say one thing for sure..

Everything comes from a conscience effort, even reminding yourself to remember Waheguru takes a conscience effort till it becomes natural habit. I'm just in that phase wherein I know what is important and I'm making a conscience effort to make it a habit. If you are one of those who is ready to accept that fact then I do NOT care how you look or dress or laugh or eat. I just can't prove anything to anyone or make anyone except my Waheguru happy. If this thought upsets you then I'm sorry you'll probably be disappointed in me.

I don't know which category you fall in when you read this but just give me time and space and not ask too many questions.

I would really like to apologize.. coz I know this is a very hurtful post.

Singh of my Life..

I have not met him in person.

The biggest act of courage is to have faith. Faith in your Guru. I have never blogged about religion except for one post that brought out my uncontrollable emotions that I have always hidden. "I believe in God". Somehow this statement seems to baffle many so called outgoing peers of mine and so I never bothered or honestly was too shy to bring out my true feelings and write about them. I wanted to blend in rather than stand out and be me. It’s very easy to write about love and relationships once you have been through your college life. It is very very difficult to blog about your religious feelings because many times we refuse to let ourselves accept the fact that we are religious.

Well, when I say I have not met him in person I am not referring to God. It is on the contrary a person whom I’m gonna be spending the rest of my life with. I’m not in love with him because as I have always said love nowadays is highly overrated. Well then why did I decide to marry him even without meeting him? The answer is- My heart says so. If that is not a valid enough point for you as a reader then discontinue reading this post. Because that’s what it is about. My heart and my Guru said that this is the person for me. I still tell him I love him and it may seem contradicting but unfortunately there has never been a word created that could describe a feeling which every girl has for the guy she is getting married to and so we adjust with the word love.

It would confuse many why I am changing so much for a guy I hardly know. Well, I am not changing for him. It is because of him that I finally can be what I really wanted to be but was too scared of people’s reaction. The beautiful dastaar and the chunni on my head is what I wanted. The serene bliss and calm on the face. Being my Guru’s beloved Kaur.

Do I need a guy to help me become my Guru’s daughter? Am I that weak? The answer is yes. I am that weak even now that sometimes I get scared of the path that I have chosen. What I’m not scared of is to admit this weakness. Every person has their own journey to follow and I am glad I have got a life partner who shares his passion for religious knowledge with me. We are not competing in this journey but are holding each other tightly while taking every step forward. He has walked this journey for quite some time now but is willing to slow down and show me the way.

We both have the strength to teach and to learn from the other, not because we are some amazing creatures but because our Guru has amazing faith in us. We love our lives and love showing care and possessiveness for each other. At the same time we love traveling on this unfathomable journey of being a true Gursikh.

I hope we have the courage to have faith in our Guru. That is all we expect out of ourselves and out of each other.

Confused??

Who are we?
What do we want from our life?
Is reading a passion or a compulsion?
Whom do we love and why?
Who are our friends?
How much trust can you have on others?
Is there a god?
Does love exist?
Do people genuinely care about others?
Is drinking a bad habit?
When is a live-in relation justified?
Is it ok to bitch about others?
Why do people crib about their happy live?
Why miss others when you have your life to deal with?
How can you show that you love and care?
Is it wrong to think about oneself?
Why do we complicate things and life?
Why the need to talk to someone when you alone?
Why pray only when you in trouble?
Why having sex is such a major issue in our lives?
Why do people end up judging you?
Why do we have to be social?
Why is money, religion and looks the most important attributes for marriage?
Why can't people mind their own business?
Why are we always confused about our decisions?
Why live a life we gonna end regreting having lived in the first place..??
Why write this post, this blog?
Why have confusions?

P.S: I always tried and provide answers which seem relevant to me.. but here are some confusions which we all face. hope my readers can answer some for me..

Funny love!!

Why is it that a person whom we love deeply, we cannot properly pronounce their names? We always end up shortening their names to an extent that they seem like funny baby noises.. Imagine my husband will start by callin me ripu.. to rips.. to ri.. and various other versions in affect to that
.

Another scenario I've noticed is that we tend to give cute names to our lovers.. shona, sweetu, jaan, jaanu, babes, baby, honey, sugar and all sweetening stuff. So in the new age health concious world I would hate my husband calling me honey or sweets and we would switch to the more healthy option of Sugar free or natura and so on... Although not as romantic but atleast its a healthy option!! wat say!!

Now Lovers have got to meet up right!!?? And one major issue of concern here is WHERE?? There are a lot of coffee shops and malls but naa thats too cliche now.. Mocha and hooka joints are in.. Then comes the part of payments.. Dutch?? Does it work??
Am I your equal that I have to pay or should one person be generous enough? I think this is very case specific and to each one its own. I would not comment on it.

Love to marriage is a case which is a little more trickier and thicker muck to go down in. Maximum of "love" cases trickle down to past relations and crushes because they do not or cannot cross the transition phase and the tribulations faced in such phases.

Then there is another kind of love.. the love that never was...
This scenario is when a guy/gal loves someone but they do not respond. The type of funny oaths that are given in leu of attaining the love that did not exist in the first place is heartrendingly hilarious. Being on either side of such a situation is an enormously emotional trauma.

Love is funny and love is very subjective and case sensitive.
If you are in love then try and look back on your relation and what you cling onto in a relation, is it the sweetened talk or is it the solid trust and respect.

Happy Loving Anyways!!

New World.. New Challenges..

I'm an Engineer!!!

Technically I've written all my examinations and jus one more result and I'm done. I've done pretty well for myself in college, having enjoyed every kinda mischief with pals from bunking to cheating to late nite parties to the crushes.. etc etc.. I've even secured a job in a reputed company (although the joining date is so late) and even my percentage is great..

Have I got any regrets??
Nope..
I've done every mistake I could, said the wrong things, been at the wrong place at the wrong time, yet every single mistake has made me the person who I am and I love that. I've learnt how to find friends and how to keep true friends. Nothing that I can write down will do justice to the experience of these four years of my college life. I still take the time to write this blog because I wanna remember how much I value those moments, so that when somewhere down the line I hit rock bottom again I can look back and smile at these inspirational moments and say to myself
" If you could come out with shining colors after four years of Engineering.. This problem is a cake walk!!"

I'm on a vacation now.. I deserve it.. I also need this vacation to spend quality time with those who have patiently taken my busy schedules and adjusted even thier marriage timings for my sake.

When I'm back I'll again have to join the hustle of yet another world of job and the "rat race" but I'm ready.. Because the college life has not drained me out of my pleasures of life.. on the contrary it has enfused in me the energy to make it big in a world full of competition and shown me that in the end the integrity you kept through the journey matters a lot more than the destination that you have arrived at!!

A Page From My Diary

I stood alone in the balcony for an hour yesterday. The weather exactly suited my mood. The strong winds were hitting my face and making a mess of my forever tangled hair. I was lost.

Today like so many other times before, I fought with my friends, yelling and shouting and all the commotion that I create just for attention I guess. Although I call this attention care. A shout that even I exist and think of me. As a friend I can be impossible to handle. My moods are dangerously erratic and to be frank irrritating. Yet I do care too for these same people whom I give such a hard time. I care for them beyond they can ever imagine.

Why am I lost??? The answer to this is also with me but I'm too tired of not being able to work on this solution. I have to start respecting myself but I don't do that. I'm scared that Ill be left alone in this college, a stage I've experienced in my final yr in a new school and frankly I don't want that to happen again. People confuse me, my patience has exhausted and when I find people around me who take my tantrums I give them more and more of bullshit.

Blaming others is like a hobby now and needing the attention of someone or the other 24*7 a desperate addiction. Its suprising that I should land up in such a position because there was once a time when my space and my novels were my precious assets. I could spend days at home without feeling an iota of boredom.

When will I grow up?? When will this phase pass?? It's becoming more and more difficullt to handle myself..

PS: The above post is from my diary that I write regularly. Just felt like sharing this particular page with the reader's. This is not fiction.

MoMmy DaRlIng....

I guess this post has been pending since a very very long time. I've finally put pen to paper today because I realized how many things I want to say but are left untold to this very special person. She is my mum so I naturally respect her with all my heart and for her seniority and because of the plain fact that she gave birth to me. I've always been her favorite and close to her but it was in my late teens I saw my mum in a new light.

She was an amazing individual with her values and the way she brought me up from treating me like a kid to repecting me and my needs as an adult. She walks on the thin line of a mother, gaurdian and a true pal. I know it for a fact that very few people share a bond the likes of which mum and me share.

Mum has always been there.. strong, supportive.. a backbone..
I've still made my mistakes, broken her trust and I'm in many ways opposite to her, but she still respects my individuality. The best thing is that she loves my other two siblings just as much, or sometimes even more for the reason that they have not been with her for very long.

I've taken a lot of time to write this particular post and its maybe because its the closest to my heart. The reason I'm finally posting it is because I fear it might get too late if I don't do it now.
Plain simple three words that I've used frivolously for everyone but the person who mattered the most..

Mum...
I LOVE YOU..

Always have and always will. I truly believe you have a right to be happy and free just like you gave us the option to be happy and free.

In the end.. or a new beginning..
Your children will be with you..
N so will your best friend.. :)
take care..

Yours Truly

I've often heard and read about people addicted to somethings in life that harm them but they are too dependent on them that it becomes their way of living. Then it might be as harmful stuff as drugs or alcohol or smoking or something like gambling or shopping. An addiction always causes the worst of effects. More often than not the addicted person realises it too late to make remedies for it. Few are lucky whose freinds and family help them get out of it and I've also met people who overcome addiction with their sheer will power.

Lets talk now of something different. I mean has anyone of you ever thought about addiction to people. Very often we name such stuff as unconditional love and devotion but here is a wake up call for all those who think they are emotionally attached but are actually addicted to that person. A close pal told me that friends are like parties and I never believed him. Turns out that what he spoke out of experience was the bitter truth which I was not mature enough to accept.

Friends teach you a lot but very few friends can be bluntly honest no matter how much you hate that. The common symptoms of addiction to a person is when you take all the emotional atrocities and degradations of that person in the name of attachment. Readers who by now are confusing this post to be about a girl guy relation are very much mistaken. This post applies to every relation in which only one party gives and the other person is a bully. All those parents who get abused by their bread winning kids and all the sisters who take being beaten up by brothers and all the wives who have no emotional happiness in their relation but are still not ready to fight for their self respect are addicted. Addicted to a way of life no matter how bad but atleast certain and are too broken to dare to break free. This post is for them. This post is also for all those people who know people suffering from this addiction yet refuse to recogonize and act.

I cry a lot for small little pains that I have to go through but as I write this blog I'm ashamed of how I exaggerate my problems. There is nothing more painful than to be broken down emotionally by one person and not being able to rise up for one's own self respect. Wake up people because this addiction is more heartrendingly disastorous than any other addiction because it kills a person's esteem and honour and will power. It also emotionally scares every one around that person and it is very hard to fight it because no medicine or therapy can cure a broken heart and a broken person.

To all those who happen to read this, look around and look inside you. Help yourself and help others to live with dignity and emotional freedom because no emotional slave has done any good in his or her life.

SEX!!!

I recently read about a girl who blogged about something related to this topic and truly speaking I was envious of her. I blog too.. Then what makes her blog more superior than mine?? Is it the topic she chooses to blog about or is it just her writing skills or is it something to do with her contacts with the right people??

So i chose to experiment..

Sex !! hmmm.. Why are we as a group shy to talk about it?? Is it to maintain the social decorum of the society or is it simply to avoid any uneasy questions that could be asked by us to our elders?

I have interacted with many kinds of people of my age group with such diverse views on this three letters of mystery and adventure. From the on screen kisses that embarrases few people to the new rage of the youth.. PDA.. Yup thats wat they call it.. Public Display of Affection. We have spoken about everything that is worth a discussion.. As Frued would have put it.. Every thing a human does is to attract or arouse the sexual desires of his opposite sex..

Most of my friends have no problem talking about it even with parents. Its not about what we talk, its about how we talk.. Is it possible to have a healthy conversation about this topic with your colleagues. I guess we can. We can share views and be open to new ideas. Sex as such is not bad unless one is not sure about what they really want. Topics like a live in relation and one night stands are often discussed among the youth. Frankly speaking it helps you to see what you want and what your personal views are about sex.

Personally I would like to hide my confusion about sex in the garb of orthodox outlook of my family. Most of us actually do that and get away with it. We are not confident enough to say no because we wish to say no, or as a matter of fact say yes if we feel like. What people like me have to understand is that what ever your answer is to this question, its correct as long as you own up and face the consequences.

I live in the world of fantasy of the novels. For me my perfect guy will sweep me off my feet and marry me and then we'll share the magical moment. It hardly sounds like a bold gals decision who chooses to discuss about sex on her blog. Yet it is what it is. This post goes out to all the gals who are scared to say no because they'll loose their boyfriends or infact to couples who get involved just to be accepted by their peers. The fruit is always sweet when it is given time to mature properly. The decision about when exactly a person is ready is a personal choice but no one, absolutely no one has a right to tell you that your decision is incorrect.

PS.. This blog is totally a personal view...

PAIN

Can pain be defined or described?

Any human with emotions can reply to this seemingly innocent question.. Pain is one thing which cannot be described in just one word, sentence or a dictionary meaning. Pain is when music starts hurting your soul. It is the silence of the one you love but can't understand. It's in the silent tears shed in the name of lost love. Each heart beat sends a seering pain through your body and you still have to smile your way through it.

It is the loss of expression, loss of the meaning of your life and it is loosing your sense of emotion. Pain is being told that you are not worth being loved. It is being unconditionally loved yet not being able to respond to that love. Pain is waiting for words which will never be spoken. Pain is emotions which will never be understood.Pain is loosing your best friend in the midst of your life when you needed him the most. Pain is not being able to explain or respond to your feelings. Pain is the burden of relations which you never desired. Pain is not understanding yourself. Pain is like a closed room with no light, no hope, no reality and no truth.

Pain is......... just is.......... Being Alive..........

Love Vs Understanding!!!

And the prince and princess lived happily ever after.......

This is how most of our lovely fairy tales end. One seems to ponder that is it really possible that two people meet and fall in love in the first sight.. Well who knows ya, it might just happen. The thought I wanna put forward is that is love enough for them to survive for ever after?

Sequels of movies like Shrek show a somewhat realistic picture. Its not love that keeps the happy ending but the understanding among them. Love is more of an attachment, both physical and emotional, understanding on the other hand is looking through the eyes of the other person. When one person truly understands the needs, thoughts, fears, aspirations and mischiefs of the other, that is true understanding and that is when the happy endings begin.

Although like its not necessary that the person who you love lives with you for the whole life, it is also not necessary that the person who understands you will love you as a life partner. With the changing scenario and broadning horizons the concept of having a close knit friend circle of both guys and gals who truly understand each other and are comfortable talking about every issue is becoming more acceptable to the world.

The trend although new is quite appealing to the youth. If you come to think of it the concept is been in front of us since so many years. Why else would the series "Friends" be so popular in our culture. The only thing is that the youth now unabashedly declares that they do want to be free and equal in every sense.

Every story has a sting in the tail!!

What are the chances of your opposite sex buddy to remain just friends?? And the biggest fear is can your life partner accept such a friendship??

Well it is a limit decided by every individual and his or her family background. Food for thought in this post is what if you have to choose between a friend and your love, then what would be your choice??

Love is passion, Friendship is understanding..

Love can never end with friendship, it becomes too awkward to go a step behind. Yet friendship can be beautifully and sensually be turned into love, its just a mutual step ahead.

I would end this post on a very personal note.

Love showed me fun, adventure, passion but ended by giving me pain .....
Friendship showed me trust, faith, understanding and has a promise of never coming to an end.

So for me.. in a fight of Love Vs Understanding

Understanding wins... My friendship wins...

Thanks for making me understand this baba...

Whose fault is it anyways!!!

Hey all my readers!! suprisingly there are only two of them I guess.. Anyways I'm writing this out because I spent the most confusing day of my life!!!

Who is at fault if two people just can't stay with each other and can't seem to stay apart too!!
And I'm NOT talking about love.. It's just friendship.. But such a screwed up friendship that I cry every time I think about it...

Every word spoken among them stings the other. Things are always misunderstood.. Ego is given more importance than anything else.. Both know that they care for the others friendship but refuse to acknowledge it. Fights are more common than words of friendship or encouragement or appreciation. All the time is spent in BLAMING!!

Its not like its any of my concern but it hurts to see both of them like this.. If one takes one step towards the other of understanding the other does something or the other to make the step useless.. Not only that it sends away that friend two steps back..

This might be the most confusing and probably the worst post I've ever written.. But those whom I want to understand will get it I guess....
thanks baba for being there!!!

Bani* 2.... The Saga Continues...

Just when I thought I knew all about this girl she continues to surprise me. It was my brother's marriage and this wonder gal was my life saviour. She keeps all her sadness to herself and enjoys because I'm happy. Dances, sings and joins the fun and frolic and before long she is taken in as a part of the family. I can trust her with anything and share all with her. She taught me so much in life that it would be an insult to our relation if I just call her my friend...

We do disagree with loads of things and fight a lot yet that understanding between us is beyond any words. I go to her place and feel as if I'm at my second house and so does she. The informality among us surprises many, even our family members.

Hey Bani* I know U'll read this post so don't you dare to leave my side atleast for the next two years.. k.. coz you know I'm one crazy gal and can do anything.. hehehehehehe..

Anyways I'll just end this post by saying that...

Bani* is a sibling that God forgot to give me......

take care.

DeAtH

What does your mind imagine when you see the topic..

Death!!

The interesting aspect of blogging is that I search for pictures to suit my particular post. When I typed " death" as the key word it was amazingly shocking in what ways death can be perceived.

It can be seen as heart break, a betrayal, a personal loss, guns can portray death so can an innocent looking flower...

We are too lost in our lives to think about matters as serious as these but I have loads of free faltu time and I tend to think about it. For me death is having a purposeless life.. A life without any direction or movement is death. If we don't have a drive or passion that is death. But I also perceive death as something very sacred. A silent sleep that takes you to a place of bliss. A song without lyrics and a soul without worldly lusts..

Thats DeAtH..

And its Beautiful.........

SACRIFICE....

I was naive when I first met you,

Unaware of what you wanted of me,

You showed a caring nature and I liked it,

It seemed like you were truly concerned.

I sacrificed my inhibitions,

to trust in your care.

I sacrificed my innocence,

to truly understand you.

It was my time I sacrificed,

to spent precious moments with you.

I sacrificed my cash,

to talk to you for hours.

The long nights I sacrificed,

to keep you company.

To have a day to only us,

I sacrificed my parents trust.

I sacrificed my being,

to love you.

And then.......

I sacrificed my love,

to your new infactuation........

BLASPHEMY!!!!!!

How strongly do you believe in religion and its norms and traditions????

It's a question which many people ask themselves but rarely ponder about.. Sikhs have forever been classified as the hyperactive community which to an extent is true, but the real point is.......
Is it incorrect to be a fanatic for your religion??

My blood boiled when I saw the pictures of a person dressed as my religion's Tenth Guru and as if that was not enough he actually baptized his "followers" in that attire. I'm too lost in the religious implications to be bothered about the political agenda hidden behind. I don't care if Congress lost or the BJP won or whatever is the consequence of a stupid election.

What scares me more is not that a person dared to do such an act but that many Sikhs refuse to act on it under the veil that if they do so then their so called "militant" image will be stamped in the media. They say commerce and business is being affected in Punjab due to the protest. What I ask is that should we be a weakling and accept whats given to us on a platter so that business flourishes?? Figures and numbers and currency will rule our lives while the world can mock our traditions and values but we refuse to act??

We have been taught the lessons of patience and harmony but if injustice is thrust on to us while our silent protests go unheard we will not be afraid to pick up the sword too..

It might seem a very small issue to those who have no clue of what Sikhism is about. For most of those people we are just people who dress funny, refuse to shave or cut out hair and are excellent subject matter for jokes. Yet the reality is far more solemn than these petty issues.

" We are different because we dare to be different"

Let me use this blog to share the myth of " Sardar ke 12 baj gaye". Yes we have heard it often in jokes or being portrayed in movies as a satirical joke but the true story is not a laughing matter..
Aurangzeb was on a spree of conversion and he used harshest of the means to do so. His soldiers kidnapped young village girls and it was then that the village folks approached Sikhs to save the honour of their daughters. These Khalsa's carried out their rescue operation after midnight to have the advantage of night time. They were charged with fuming energy unlike anyone had ever witnessed and it was beyond words. Thus the phrase of " barah bajna" was coined to symbolize the grit and guts of those Khalsa's at that particular hour.

Its a sorry state that today most people accept it as something funny........

Most of us are unaware of reality and seem to think that the headlines shown are so messy just because politics and religion have gone to bed together. Think once again,
We are not fighting for a political gamete, we are fighting for our religious dignity!!
Respect that!!!!!!

P.S. Use orkut to post your comments..

Twenty!!!!!!!!

Hey people I celebrated my birthday on this 16th and with this birthday I bid a farewell to my teenage..
I've had a roller coaster ride all these years and experimented almost all things I possibly could. Its not like my life ends here but its a new beginning for me.. A turning point from where I can now not return so I leave my regrets and past faults behind and start afresh..

My birthday was a blast and all my friends wished me.. SAM* as usual your wishes were the closest I hold and also Bani* who was with me all through the day.. Munna, Baba and gang wished me a day earlier but that too was pretty cute of them..
Guess what Baba took the pains of wishing me again the next day that is on my actual birthday.. U the sweetest ya:)

Thanks to all my friends for making my " teenage farewell birthday" so special..
Veer and Bhabs you were the first ones to wish me and also Charu di..
Ma, Pa love u loads for smiling all day for me no matter wat..

bbye n tc..........

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

This is a truly amazing story, I hope the readers like it.

Once upon a time there was a young child who lived with his Dad and truly loved him with all his heart.. He enjoyed his company and the only thing that disappointed him was that his Dad spent a lot of time working to improve the quality of their lives.. So one Christmas party they went out at the Company's Boss' house and this child innocently asked the Santa in the party that his wish should come true.. Now it was a very simple wish that his Dad should spend time with him for his birthday and as usually in these parties the Santa forwarded the wish to the Company CEO.. As his Dad was an enthusiastic worker the CEO considered the request and fixed up the meeting with the soon to be Super Dad the next day..

Dad was thoroughly surprised when he heard the proposal of the CEO.. He was been given a payed holiday for four months till his Son's Birthday and all he had to do in this time was to plan a great birthday party for his son.. Dad jumped for joy and rushed to tell his son who was equally elated..

The very next day the preparation started in full swing although it was too early as the son's b'day was four months away but Dad could not wait.. He took out all his resources and started making all kinds of lists to do.. Son was truly excited for few weeks, then the excitement wore off as all they now talked off was his Birthday... How many friends are to be called, the theme of the party, what dress they would wear, even the exact dimensions of the cake were discussed in deep detail.... as it was the only thing that the Dad had to spend his now almost free time.. It was like a distant goal that had to be attained after crossing a vacuum of nothing..

Their was another problem, although the Dad was payed the salary in his vacations too but now he wanted an almost lavish party and with nothing else at hand he started to notice the little luxuries as a waste of precious money and so the accounting and budgeting started.. All this disappointed the Son who by now wished he did not have a birthday to celebrate.. But it was his wish and so life went on.. The guest were sent invitations, duties were assigned and if the Dad had his way he would have made them do a rehearsal of the show too..

What the Dad so conveniently forgot was the simple joy people get from imperfection.. The joy of seeing people react to unexpected situations, but the Dad would have nothing of that.. Na not at his Son's oh so special Birthday, so he went over all details and he made others go over all the details and he forgot to enjoy and let enjoy on the way..

Finally the D Day arrived and instead of being Happy the mood was set differently.. Dad was hyper and jumped at every mistake that tarnished his picture perfect party, infact he was so consumed with it, that for the first time he forgot to wish his son HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

The Son's emotions were in a turmoil, what he expected to be a joyous moment turned out to be his worst nightmare.. The guest were also kinda stiff not knowing how the should react lest they do something incorrect to spoil the " so called fun" they were supposed to be having....

As the time for cutting the cake came the Son almost knew what he wanted to wish while blowing off those candles..

He closed his eyes and wished with all his might " God let me not celebrate my Birthday ever again"

As it so ironically happens, the Son's wish was granted....

He did not see the next day's sunrise.............................

BBye and tc...........
